From the Desk of Fr. Mock.

I am very happy that a member of our High School Youth Ministry has been selected by the Diocesan Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry to serve on the 2016-2017 Diocesan Youth Board. Gianella (Gia) Marciniak will join a Board of young people from all over the diocese who plan such events as the annual Youth Convention and award banquet. Gia is a 2013 graduate of Saint Benedict School and will be entering her senior year at Sacred Heart Academy. Many of you know Gia from serving at the altar, as well as being a lector at the 8:00 am Sunday Mass. She has also taught in our Monday faith formation program as well as in our Confirmation Program. She brings a lot of enthusiasm to everything she does, and I know she will be an asset to the Youth Board. This is the first time in many years that a member of Saint Benedict has served on the Board. I hope that others will see her as an inspiration and follow in her steps in the future.

Here at St. Benedict we provide a safe, welcoming enviroment, where youth & young adults are accepted for who God made them to be. We look to inspire them
to become Lifelong Desciples of Jesus Christ, and encourage them to pray, play and act out the gosspel with and for the world.
