The Sacraments Celebrated

Faith formation and Sacramental preparation are separate and distinct items,

each with their own registration form and preparation process.

6 Things Children Learn When You Skip Mass on Sundays

Parents choose and fill out a sacramental registration form for their child.

This applies to all parents, those whose child attend Saint Benedict School and/or Public School.

Sacramental catechesis:

      • The focus is on a specific sacrament, our Roman Catholic belief, and how it changes us
      • Parents are an extremely important part in the preparation of Sacraments (and Faith Formation) with their children/ adolescents
      • Parishioners play a vital role in praying, guiding, and supporting all who are preparing for a sacrament(s)

Students preparing for a Sacrament:

      • Attend faith formation and a separate Sacramental preparation process
      • Students attending Catholic school receive faith formation daily

At Saint Benedict parish, both Catholic and Public schools celebrate the Sacraments together.

Each sacrament offers catechesis for the parents, resources for parent and student, a retreat, Confession and Mass.

Parents are the key in their child(s) Sacrament preparation and Faith Formation.

We encourage and support families to attend Mass on a regular basis.
